Kyle James Pascoe Memorial Scholarship Fund

June 12, 2019

Greater Pike Community Foundation is honored to announce the Kyle James Pascoe Memorial Scholarship Fund.  The fund was created by Kyle’s family to remember and honor the Delaware Valley High School junior who died in a tragic car accident on October 28, 2018.

Kyle was a popular student who played quarterback and cornerback on the Delaware Valley football team, wearing the jersey number 10.  Kyle not only excelled in sports but also in academics, which is why his mother, Sharon Marks, plans to kick off the fund by making two awards in Kyle’s name:  One will be for a student who excels in sports and the other for a student who excels in academics.

The first scholarships will be awarded in the spring of 2020, the year in which Kyle would have graduated from Delaware Valley.  Jenni Hamill, Executive Director of Greater Pike Community Foundation, said, “Sharon and her family are remarkable and loving people. They took the grief they have suffered from such a catastrophic loss and turned it into something positive for future generations. To me, this scholarship fund represents the lasting power of love.”

Family and friends of the Pascoe family are planning a Football and Basketball Tournament fundraiser to raise money for the scholarship.  The tournament will be held on July 27, 2019, at the Delaware Valley Football Field.

Greater Pike is now accepting tax-deductible donations on behalf of the Kyle James Pascoe Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Checks should be made payable to “GPCF-Kyle James Pascoe Memorial Fund” and mailed to Greater Pike Community Foundation, P.O. Box 992, Milford, PA 18337.  For questions about this Fund, or any other Greater Pike Fund please contact Jenni Hamill, Executive Director, at (570) 832-4686 or jennihamill@greaterpike.org, or visit Greater Pike’s website.
