Greater Pike Community Foundation, with its slogan “For Good. Forever.” was created to enable individuals, families, and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted, long-term community philanthropy.
Greater Pike provides a permanent and personal way to give back to the region we love and have worked so hard to nurture and maintain.
Since our founding in 2012, people who care about Pike County have invested money with Greater Pike. We now care for over 50 individual funds that support a wide variety of local causes.
Collectively, these dollars create our community’s endowment; a pool of resources invested for long-term growth, providing ongoing dollars to create positive impact in Pike County now and forever.
A Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit philanthropic institution created by civic volunteers for the long-term benefit of a defined geographic area.
Greater Pike Community Foundation’s service area encompasses the Pike County, Pennsylvania region.
Community Foundations enable donors to pursue their charitable objectives while realizing the tax benefits allowed by law. Assets are donated to support charitable causes or community needs. The assets are invested, building a permanent community endowment, and the returns are used to award grants and scholarships, and support a wide range of humanitarian, educational, and cultural organizations within the foundation’s geographic area.

The Richard L. Snyder Chair of Conservation Studies Fund was established to honor the memory of Richard L. Snyder, a community benefactor and great conservationist, this fund will provide a yearly stipend to the Delaware Valley School District to create and maintain a Richard L. Snyder Chair of Conservation Studies.
Addresses urgent or important unanticipated funding needs on a timely basis, without a defined funding calendar. The Fund for Greater Pike in particular, but not exclusively, responds to needs arising from natural disasters and/or public health emergencies.
The Woodloch Family Fund supports various causes and organizations in the greater Pike County, PA area through charitable distributions made to deserving and qualified organizations. Specifically, the Woodloch Family Fund supports charitable initiatives that address the needs of our community and beyond. We are dedicated to advancing cancer research while providing compassionate care and respite for cancer patients and their families. We also proudly support children facing cancer and disabilities, helping to improve their quality of life through meaningful programs and resources.
