Greater Pike Community Foundation, in conjunction with the Pike County Public Library, hosted several workshops for board members and staff of non-profit organizations.
On September 22, 2014 a four-hour workshop provided tools and guidelines for maintaining standards of excellence. Specific strategies were outlined to help non-profit leaders and Board management to avoid risks and maximize opportunities for their organizations. It was conducted by Kurt R. Bauman, MBA, and Executive Director of the Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center (NCAC), and Division Manager, Community Services, NEPA Alliance.
“Find it – Fix It! A Home Energy Efficiency Workshop” was also presented by SEEDS (Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support) of Northeastern PA. SEEDS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a renewable energy infrastructure and sustainable living. Professionals discussed energy savings projects, find energy leaks, and fix them.
