Greater Pike Community Foundation is teaming up with PennState Extension of Pike County this fall to offer a series of educational workshops aimed at supporting and strengthening local nonprofit organizations. Topics will be Board Development for Nonprofits (10/22) and a two-part series on grant writing: Finding Funding – Establishing Need (10/29) and Grant Proposal Basics (11/12). Congratulations to Emily Jacobus and Shira Michel, Delaware Valley High School seniors who received scholarships from the Greater Pike Community Foundation to pursue higher education in the fall. Jacobus received $600 from the Gouse-Krawitz Memorial Scholarship Fund established by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce. Michel received $1500 from the newly established Sydney Fluck ‘Syd’s Kids’ Scholarship fund established by the Fluck and Luhrs families to assist with college tuition costs.
