The Dime Bank donated $5,000.00 to the Greater Pike County Community Foundation (GPCF) through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. Through the GPCF, the EITC Program provides significant funding for innovative educational programming enhancements in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) at Delaware Valley School District (DVSD). The Ecumenical Food Pantry of Pike County serves over 500 families struggling to buy groceries in our community. As is often the case after the holidays, however, the Pantry is finding itself struggling to satisfy the many requests for food during these cold months. Pike County area residents opened their hearts and checkbooks to support disaster relief efforts following a hurricane in Puerto Rico and earthquake in Mexico earlier this fall. The Greater Pike Community Foundation’s Hotel Fauchère Emergency Relief Fund, established by Hotel Fauchère employees and management received donations exceeding $6300 in a little over one month.
