The Greater Pike Community Foundation 5th Annual Gala Dinner will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018, at Silver Birches on Lake Wallenpaupack.

Greater Pike’s annual dinner is a festive gathering of business, philanthropic and civic leaders in the region. “Five years is a milestone of which we are very proud,” said Jim Pedranti, Greater Pike’s board chair. “Each year the foundation grows and each year our annual dinner grows as well. Last year’s dinner, at the Walpack Inn, had a record turnout of 175 guests and was a lot of fun. We’re hoping for an even larger dinner this year and just as much fun.”

“At this year’s dinner, we will bestow two awards on honorees who will be announced in a few weeks. The Barbara J. Buchanan Community Service Award will go to an individual demonstrating exceptional philanthropic leadership in our community. The Richard L. Snyder Business Leadership Award recognizes a local business that has shown a commitment to fostering economic growth that respects and protects our environment,” said Lara Anne Dodsworth, who is co-chairing this year’s Greater Pike gala with Tim Smith.

“Each of the two honorees will also have the opportunity to direct a $1,000 gift to the not-for-profit organization of their choice,” said Dodsworth. Past recipients of the Buchanan award have included John Kiesendahl (2015), Art & Jane Ridley (2016) and Richard and Rebecca Lindsey (2017). The inaugural Snyder award was bestowed on Ruth Jones and Kittatinny Canoes, in 2016, and Lewis Critelli and Wayne Bank (2017).

Tickets for the Greater Pike dinner will be available shortly online at www.EventBrite.com. For information on becoming a sponsor of the dinner or to advertise in the program book, please contact Lara Anne Dodsworth at (570) 409-6500.
