Hotel Fauchère Emergency Relief Fund for Puerto Rico and Mexico Raises Over $6,300

November 28, 2017

Pike County area residents opened their hearts and checkbooks to support disaster relief efforts following a hurricane in Puerto Rico and earthquake in Mexico earlier this fall. Greater Pike Community Foundation’s Hotel Fauchère Emergency Relief Fund, established by Hotel Fauchère employees and management received donations exceeding $6300 in a little over one month.

Business leaders from around the area gathered at Silver Birches on Lake Wallenpaupack on November 3rd, 2017, to celebrate success at the Pike County Chamber of Commerce’s “Chamber of Champion Awards” dinner. Greater Pike Community Foundation (GPCF) was honored to receive the 2017 Organization Hometown Star Award for enabling generous individuals, families and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted community philanthropy.

Hotel Fauchere Establishes Emergency Relief Fund For Puerto Rico And Mexico

October 3, 2017

After natural disasters decimated communities and resources in Mexico and Puerto Rico last month, Greater Pike Community Foundation established the Hotel Fauchère Emergency Relief Fund in collaboration with the management and employees of the hotel. The Foundation will distribute 100% of relief fund contributions to charitable organizations offering help in impacted areas.

Richard L. Snyder Fund Provides $52,000 to Local Non-Profits

October 3, 2017

Dick Snyder, a local businessman and philanthropist who died in 2014, was one of the strongest supporters of non-profit organizations in Pike County.  This summer, Greater Pike Community Foundation continued Dick’s legacy of community support with $52,500 in grants to 27 local non-profit organizations from the Richard L. Snyder Fund.

EITC Funds Connect Businesses to Students

Greater Pike Community Foundation (GPCF) recently received $10,000 from Wayne Bank and $5,000 from The Dime Bank in PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) funds to enhance educationally advanced curriculum at the Delaware Valley (DVSD) and East Stroudsburg Area School (ESASD) Districts.
