5th Annual Dinner GPCF

5th Annual Dinner Sells Out

July 25, 2018

Our 5th Annual Dinner Celebration has sold the maximum number of tickets available less than three weeks after invitations were mailed.

Greater Pike Community Foundation (Greater Pike) Board Members Lara Anne Dodsworth and Tim Smith, the co-Chairs of the Dinner Committee, are just two of 17 volunteer board members, who have supported this year’s 5th Annual Dinner Celebration.  The Greater Pike Board is thankful for the support shown by the many individuals and businesses who have responded so quickly to purchase tickets and/or advertisements and wish to specifically acknowledge the generous support of dinner sponsors:  Davis R. Chant Realtors; Lara Anne Dodsworth, Esq.; Econo-Pak; John R. Fisher, CPA, CFP; John Loughnane & Carol Sebbane; Pike County Light & Power; Wayne Bank; Wayne Memorial Health System (Wayne Memorial Hospital) and also Silver Birches, the dinner venue.  Without community support, Greater Pike would not be able to recognize the philanthropic spirit of this year’s Honorees.

The Dinner will honor Lorraine Gregory with The Barbara J. Buchanan Community Service Award and brothers Ron Schmalzle and Randy Schmalzle with The Richard L. Snyder Excellence in Business Leadership Award.  The Honorees were chosen earlier this spring after much consideration and a decision by the Board.  Each award is accompanied by a $1,000.00 grant that will be presented at the dinner by the Honorees to the non-profit charitable organization of their choice.

Greater Pike attributes the quick sale of tickets to the overwhelming support shown by the community to the Honorees, as they are widely known for their vast acts of kindness performed over many years.  Visit Greater Pike’s website periodically between now and October 3rd  to learn more details of the Honorees and also which charity the Honorees will choose to receive the two (2) $1,000.00 grants.

Although ticket sales are closed, congratulatory messages and/or ads may be placed in the dinner program by emailing laraanne.gpcf@gmail.com before August 15th.

The Greater Pike Community Foundation was created to enable generous individuals, families and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted, long-term community philanthropy. The Foundation provides a permanent and personal way to give back to the region we love and have worked so hard to nurture and maintain.
