Pre-K Scholarships Available Now
July 22, 2019
Two deserving families got a little extra help paying for their children’s preschool tuition this summer with funding from Greater Pike Community Foundation. The Malone and Macali families were each awarded Pre-Kindergarten Scholarships for their children to attend the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) preschool program in Milford, PA. The students will receive a total of over $1,100 in tuition assistance from Greater Pike’s Pre-K Scholarship program, funded through a partnership with The Dime Bank, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
“We are pleased to support early childhood education in Pike County for a second year in a row through these scholarships. Also, due to the generous support from our community-minded partners, The Dime Bank and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, we still have additional funding. Any family with a child attending a preschool program at either CDD or Green Trees Early Learning Center meeting the eligibility criteria could receive a partial or even full tuition scholarship to attend,” said Jenni Hamill, Greater Pike’s Executive Director. “I encourage families to inquire about the application process by either contacting Greater Pike or one of the two participating schools.”
