Buchanan Fund Mini-Grants Available
February 5, 2020
Greater Pike Community Foundation announces that the total in grant awards from the Barbara J. Buchanan Fund is increasing for 2020 and that the period to apply for one of the Buchanan Fund “mini-grants” is now open.
“Barbara Buchanan’s legacy of commitment to her community and the causes she held so dear continue as the grant cycle opens,” said Maryanne Monte, Greater Pike’s Grants Committee Chair. “This year, the Foundation will be awarding one $1,000 grant and three $500 grants because of Barbara’s generosity,” Monte announced.
The deadline for applying is Friday, March 6th at 5:00 pm. This annual program funds eligible local nonprofit community organizations in the arts and culture, basic human needs, health, families, education, and the environment with innovative ideas for improving our quality of life.
The application and details concerning eligibility and requirements can be found here. Greater Pike encourages all applicants to read the directions carefully, as they have changed. Prior grant recipients must be up to date in all reporting requirements from previous grant cycles by the application deadline, or their applications will not be considered.
The Barbara J. Buchanan Fund at Greater Pike Community Foundation is a donor-designated fund established in 2014. Greater Pike was created to enable generous individuals, families, and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted, long-term community philanthropy.
