Reginald Charlot is Managing Director, Tourism Market Development, for NYC & Company. Luke Turano is an Insurance Professional and Financial Advisor with Turano Insurance and Financial.

“I look forward to working with both Regi and Luke as they bring experience and a new perspective to the Board,” said Board Chair Gail Shuttleworth.

In his role at NYC & Company, Charlot is responsible for advancing and overseeing travel trade relationships and activities throughout Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and the United States on behalf of the five boroughs of New York City. He has executed a series of global partnerships such as those with British Airways Holidays and Air France and led to city-to-city partnerships between New York City and Auckland and Milan.

He is immediate past chair for the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association (IGTLA) Foundation, the fundraising and research arm of IGLTA. He is also a member of NYC & Company’s DEI Advisory Board. Prior to joining NYC & Company in 2008, Charlot worked at Thai Airways, Air France, and Shoot Magazine.

He holds a Master of Science in Tourism and Travel Management from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from Frostburg State University.

Charlot and his husband, Dr. Tucker Woods, previously resided full-time in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, and were weekenders in Pike County. As of March 2020, they became full-time Dingman Township residents.

“I am thrilled to join the board,” Charlot said. “I look forward to building upon what has been established previously and to continuing to move the needle forward to support our community.”

Luke Turano, of Turano Insurance & Financial, has been an Insurance Professional and Financial Advisor since 2006, with seven locations stretching throughout Northeast & Central Pennsylvania. Turano took over the family operation in 2015, growing the business into a network of agencies.

Prior to joining the Greater Pike Community Foundation Board, Turano served both his personal and professional communities by way of the Milford Borough Council, and as a board member of the Milford Enhancement Committee, the Chamber of the Northern Poconos, Pike County Chamber of Commerce, and Wayne Economic Development Corporation.

A 2005 graduate of Marywood University, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is FINRA licensed Series 6, 63, & 65.

In 2016, Luke and his wife Krista purchased a home in the Borough of Milford and are raising their two daughters – Mackenzie and Charley – here.

“I joined the Greater Pike Community Foundation for a few reasons – one, look at the past and present board of directors and committee members. It’s a rather astute group of people who have done a beyond amazing job here. Two, I’ve always had interest in organizations that support, nurture, and maintain other organizations around them (like the GPCF Mission Statement). And lastly, I joined for the perpetuity of the organization. I’ve had the privilege to sit on a handful of councils and/or boards, and one of the keynote themes for me has been my concern for the long-term succession…I, hopefully, still have many years ahead of me to give to the greater Pike community.”

Greater Pike helps individuals, families, and local businesses to provide a permanent and personal way to give back to the community.
