Greater Pike Receives Weis Markets Donation for Delaware Valley Schools

Student 3-D DesignMILFORD, PA – Delaware Valley School District students will get a leg up in science and technology this year thanks to a generous donation from Weis Markets, Inc.

Weis Markets Inc. recently donated $1,500 to Greater Pike Community Foundation through the State of Pennsylvania’s EITC program. The program awards tax credits to businesses making significant contributions to educational programs.

The funds will be used for the purchase of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) educational equipment to assist Delaware Valley School District students.

Greater Pike Executive Director Jenni Hamill noted, “The emphasis on technology in the classroom is more important today than ever before. Greater Pike is pleased to partner with Weis Markets, Delaware Valley School District, and the PA Department of Community and Economic Development for this important contribution to the future success of students.”

Delaware Valley High School Assistant Principal Jayson Pope added, “we are very grateful for our partnership with Weis Markets. Their generous contribution will ensure the continued growth and development of our STEM programs.”
