Greater Pike and The Dime Bank Join Forces to Provide Local Pre-K Scholarships
January 29, 2019
Greater Pike Community Foundation and The Dime Bank are joining forces for the second year in a row to offer pre-K scholarships. Awards, based on financial need, will provide partial tuition to one or more families in the Greater Pike area with a preschool-aged child to attend a pre-K program at the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) or Green Trees Early Learning Center, Inc. in the fall of 2019.
Scholarship applications will be made available later this spring and posted on our website and through the two qualified schools. Families interested in applying for a pre-K scholarship may contact Gail Shuttleworth, Scholarship Chair, at scholarships@greaterpike.org for more information.
“We are grateful to The Dime Bank for their continued generosity and investment in early childhood education allowing us to provide needed support to families with young children,” said Shuttleworth.
The Dime’s support was made possible by the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
Greater Pike Community Foundation enables generous individuals, families and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted, long-term community philanthropy. The Foundation provides a permanent and personal way to give back to the region we love and have worked so hard to nurture and maintain.
