Greater Pike and The Dime Bank Provide Pre-K Scholarships
June 17, 2018
The Greater Pike Community Foundation has received funding from The Dime Bank to offer its first Pre-K Scholarship opportunity. The Scholarships will be based on financial need and will provide partial tuition to one or more families in the Greater Pike area with a preschool age child to attend a pre-K program at either the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) or Green Trees Early Learning Center, Inc., in the fall of 2018.
Families interested in applying for a Pre-K scholarship may email Gail Shuttleworth, Scholarship Chair, for more information.
“We are grateful to The Dime Bank for their generosity which allows us to provide needed support to families with young children,” said Shuttleworth.
The Dime’s support was made possible by the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
The Greater Pike Community Foundation (GPCF) was created to enable generous individuals, families and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted, long-term community philanthropy.
The Foundation provides a permanent and personal way to give back to the region we love and have worked so hard to nurture and maintain.
