Dick Snyder, a local businessman and philanthropist who died in 2014, was one of the strongest supporters of non-profit organizations in Pike County.  This summer, Greater Pike Community Foundation continued Dick’s legacy of community support with $52,500 in grants to 27 local non-profit organizations from the Richard L. Snyder Fund. After natural disasters decimated communities and resources in Mexico and Puerto Rico last month, the Greater Pike Community Foundation established the Hotel Fauchère Emergency Relief Fund in collaboration with the management and employees of the hotel.
