Our Funds
Donations may be made to any of the following Greater Pike Community Foundation funds as a general gift or in honor or memory of a loved one. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
In addition to cash donations, Greater Pike also accepts bequests, gifts of life insurance, stock, real estate, and many other options.

Barbara J. Buchanan Fund – Supports an annual mini-grant program that funds local non-profit community organizations in the arts and culture, basic human needs, health, families, education, and the environment. Upcoming dates for grant applications will be posted on our website and advertised through our mailing list. Online donations can be made here.
The Edward and Gertrude Schneider Memorial Fund – Provides funding to the Milford Enhancement Committee (MEC), a Committee of the Pike County Historic Trust. The MEC works to make Milford a better place to live, visit, and do business. The results are seen in new sidewalks, curbing, landscaping, and historic-style pedestrian lighting throughout much of Milford’s commercial district. Donate here.
Fund for Greater Pike – Addresses urgent or important unanticipated funding needs on a timely basis, without a defined funding calendar, The Fund for Greater Pike in particular, but not exclusively, responds to needs arising from natural disasters and/or public health emergencies. The GAIT ACE Fund was established for the benefit of GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center to improve the quality of life of children and adults with special needs through equine activities and therapies. ACE’s primary purpose is to provide financial assistance to participants in GAIT’s programs, enabling them to have a more independent life in society. You can donate online here.
Greater Pike General Fund – Maintains the administrative activities that allow Greater Pike to support its mission of expanding tailored local philanthropy and supporting non-profit community organizations, for good, forever. Donate here.
Hotel Fauchère Fund – Designed to promote civic engagement, historic preservation, social justice, healthcare, and cultural endeavors in the Greater Pike region. To donate to the fund, follow this link.
Jennifer Kalish Malzahn Memorial Fund – Established in memory of Jennifer Kalish Malzahn. Donate here.
The Kontizas Fund – Supports arts and culture, animal welfare, public safety, and emergency services, environmental stewardship/education, child victims of domestic violence, and specifically Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Milford, PA. Donate here.
Milford COVID Relief Fund – Established to aid nonprofit service providers and organizations struggling with the health and economic effects of the coronavirus. The fund will provide support to nonprofits that are trying to meet the new and urgent needs that have affected Milford’s residents, business owners, and those who work in Milford. Pedranti Family Charitable Fund – Supports charitable endeavors that meet the needs of the community through efforts including but not limited to: community enhancement, health and welfare including medical research, education, historic preservation, arts and culture, and the Fund for Greater Pike with an emphasis on the Greater Pike area. Petersheim Fund – Supports donor-recommended local entities across the nonprofit, religious, and community-building spectrum. Donate here.
Pike County Emergency Services Initiative Fund – Established to provide funding to qualified Pike County emergency services agencies and other nonprofit emergency response organizations, including training programs. To donate online, click here.
Ralph F. Berry Memorial Fund – Supports charities of the donor advisor’s choice in memory of Ralph Berry and the causes he held near to his heart during his lifetime. Donate here.
Richard L. Snyder Chair of Conservation Studies Fund – Established to honor the memory of Richard L. Snyder, a community benefactor and great conservationist, this fund will provide a yearly stipend to the Delaware Valley School District to create and maintain a Richard L. Snyder Chair of Conservation Studies. Click here to donate.
Richard L. Snyder Fund – Supports an annual open grant program which funds non-profit organizations conducting work in the following areas: maintaining and enhancing the public areas of the Borough of Milford; sponsorship of local arts, culture, festivals and events; and medical research in the fields of multiple sclerosis, HIV, LGBT issues and domestic violence. Richard Rhodes River Rescue Fund – 100% of the income from the “RRRR” fund is allocated to the National Canoe Safety Patrol for purchase of equipment, training, and other necessary items to fulfill their mission to provide rescue and assistance, as well as safety education, to guests visiting the Upper Delaware Recreation Area. Safe Haven Legacy Fund – Established by Safe Haven of Pike County, Inc., to provide grant awards to eligible nonprofit organizations in Pike County to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to find and relocate to permanent (as opposed to emergency) safe housing. Schneider Family Fund – Created by John “Duke” and Joan Schneider to provide meaningful support for causes and charities recommended by the donors. Use this link to donate online.
Thomas and Jean Hoff Fund – Established to primarily benefit the community of Pike County, PA, specifically the Pike County Public Library. To donate online, follow this link.
Walt Edwards Ashenfelter Fund for Performing Arts – Established in memory of Walt Edwards Ashenfelter to support the musical entertainment in Milford that Walt loved. Donate here.
William and Deborah Hookway Fund – Supports various local charitable entities in the Sussex County, NJ, area and elsewhere, as recommended by the Donors. Charities and causes include but are not limited to the Sussex County YMCA and animal welfare organizations. Online donations accepted here.
Scholarship Funds
Amanda Nicole Thoenig Memorial Scholarship Fund – This fund will award one or more annual scholarships to students from Delaware Valley High School or Kittatinny Regional High School who are planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university in pursuit of a degree in the visual arts. Ann Intili Morey Art Scholarship Fund – This fund will award one or more annual scholarships to students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need and who plan to attend a regionally accredited college or university in the field of art or related careers. Eligible students include high school seniors from Delaware Valley School District, East Stroudsburg School District, Kittatinny Regional High School, and Port Jervis School District. Donate here.
Kyle James Pascoe Memorial Scholarship Fund – Scholarships to Pike County, Delaware Valley High School seniors planning to attend an accredited trade school, college, or university. Students with a history of community involvement and a spirit of giving, and who have demonstrated excellence in football, track, and/or academics will be considered. Donate here.
Pike County Chamber of Commerce Memorial Gouse-Krawitz Scholarship Fund – Awarded annually to graduating Pike County high school students in Delaware Valley School District, Wallenpaupack Area School District, or East Stroudsburg Area School District; homeschooled and cyber schooled students are eligible. Applicants must meet academic requirements, show exceptional local volunteerism and community involvement, demonstrate financial need, and be accepted to a school of higher learning (including vocational). Reggie Cheong-Leen & Peter Spielhagen Scholarship Fund – This scholarship provides multi-year support for the higher education costs of graduating Delaware Valley High School seniors who are first-generation children of non-U.S. citizens and who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. Sydney Fluck “Syd’s Kids” Scholarship Fund – Awarded annually to one Pike County high school senior with demonstrated financial need who has been accepted to a school of higher learning (including vocational); candidates apply using the Delaware Valley School District Scholarship Application. EITC
Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program for Educational Improvement Organizations – A partnership among Greater Pike Community Foundation, the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), and eligible and approved businesses offering tax credits for contributions that support educational improvements in our schools.
Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program for Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organizations – A partnership among Greater Pike Community Foundation, the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), and eligible and approved businesses offering tax credits for contributions that support full or partial tuition scholarships for local children attending summer or school-year programs at eligible nonprofit pre-kindergarten scholarship organizations.
